The Cambridge Rules were first written down in 1848, so if you came to play on Parker’s Piece football ground, everyone used the same rules. Up until that time, everyone played by very different rules. Since 1848, the rules have continued to change and football has spread to every corner of the world. FIFA has over 200 national associations as members.
Imagine how many languages around the world talk football? Think about how this simple game has become something we all cherish and love no matter where we live. We want to hear the Cambridge Rules read out in as many worldwide languages as possible and we need your help. Please record yourself or your friends reading one of the Cambridge Rules for the rest of the world to hear.
